Privacy Policy
Effective November 2, 2026
Jimo Link is a menu bar app that runs on your Mac. It is made by Hangzhou Small Fire Network Technology Co., Ltd. (“we”). It gives the AI apps you connect access to Calendar, Reminders, Notes, and Maps on your Mac. This policy explains what data Jimo Link handles and where that data goes.
The app collects no data
Jimo Link has no server of our own and needs no account. It contains no analytics, advertising, or other third-party SDKs. We never receive your events, reminders, notes, or location, and we don’t know how you use Jimo Link. The privacy label on the App Store is “Data Not Collected.”
What Jimo Link reads
- Jimo Link can read Calendar, Reminders, Notes, and your location only after you turn each one on in Jimo Link and allow it when macOS asks. AI apps can’t see a capability that is off.
- Jimo Link reads only when an AI app you connected to it (for example Claude Code, Codex, or WorkBuddy) asks, and it gives the result only to the app on this Mac that asked.
- When an AI app wants to create, change, or delete something, Jimo Link first shows a card. Nothing happens until you click Allow. Jimo Link also asks you before an AI app reads your notes.
- Once an AI app has this content, it may send it to its own servers or to the AI model it uses. That is covered by that app’s privacy policy, not by Jimo Link. Please read its policy before you connect it. You can disconnect any app in Jimo Link at any time.
Location
- By default, AI apps get only the city you are in. Jimo Link asks macOS for an approximate location, which macOS blurs to within a few kilometers, so Jimo Link itself never sees your exact coordinates.
- Each time an AI app wants your precise location, Jimo Link shows a card, and you decide.
Apple Maps
Place search, directions, converting between addresses and coordinates, and turning a location into a city name are done by Apple Maps (Apple MapKit). These requests send the search terms, places, or location involved to Apple, and Apple handles them under its privacy policy. We don’t receive these requests.
Data kept on your Mac
- Activity: when an AI app did something, what it did, and the result. For creating, changing, or deleting, it also keeps what the card showed, so you can check later. It doesn’t keep the events, reminders, or notes that an AI app read. It keeps only the last 7 days, up to 500 entries, and you can clear it all in Settings › Activity.
- Diagnostic log: how the app is running, such as launches, connections, and errors, for troubleshooting. It stays around 1 MB in total, and older entries are overwritten. It contains no event titles, note text, or similar content.
- Settings and connected apps: which capabilities you turned on, which AI apps you connected, and each app’s key. When you disconnect an app, its key stops working at once.
All of this stays on your Mac and is never uploaded.
Feedback
Only when you click Send Feedback… in Settings › About does Jimo Link create a new email in your mail app, with a diagnostic file attached. The file contains the app and macOS versions, the state and permissions of each capability, the names of connected apps, the kinds of actions that recently failed, and the diagnostic log. You can open it or remove it before sending. You send the email yourself, and we use it only to reply to you and fix problems.
Purchases
Jimo Link Pro is bought through the App Store, and Apple handles payment. We never receive your payment details or Apple Account information. Jimo Link only asks Apple whether the Apple Account on this Mac has bought Pro.
This website
This website uses no cookies, analytics, or third-party resources. For security and troubleshooting, the web server keeps an access log: the time, IP address, page requested, browser information, and referring page. The log stays on the web server, is deleted automatically after about 5 weeks, and is not shared with third parties.
Changes
When we update this policy, we change the effective date at the top of this page.
