Questions and Answers
What do I need to use Jimo Link?
A Mac with macOS 15 or later, and an AI app that supports MCP, such as Claude Code, Codex, or WorkBuddy. MCP is the common way AI apps connect to outside tools. Jimo Link sets up the connection for you.
How do I connect an AI app?
Click the Jimo Link icon in the menu bar, click Connect an App, choose your AI app, and follow the steps. When you see “Connected,” you’re done. For an app that isn’t in the list, choose Other AI App and connect it by hand.
My AI can’t find Jimo Link or can’t use it. What should I do?
- Make sure the Jimo Link icon is in the menu bar, which means Jimo Link is running. We suggest turning on Launch at Login in Settings › General.
- Make sure the capability is on in the menu. For example, to check your schedule, turn on Calendar.
- Start a new conversation in your AI app and try again. For Codex, quit and reopen it.
The capability is on, but the AI still can’t read anything.
macOS may not have allowed Jimo Link to use that content yet. The menu then shows Open System Settings. Click it, and allow Jimo Link in System Settings › Privacy & Security.
What is the card that pops up?
When an AI app wants to create, change, or delete something, read your notes, or get your precise location, Jimo Link shows a card that says exactly what it wants to do. It happens only if you click Allow. If you click Deny or don’t answer within 60 seconds, nothing happens. If you check “Don’t ask again … in this conversation,” the same kind of action won’t show a card again in that conversation. A new conversation asks again, and you can start asking again from the menu at any time.
How do I stop an AI app from using Jimo Link?
In the menu, under Connected Apps, click “…” next to the app and choose Disconnect. It loses access right away.
What is free, and what does Pro include?
Viewing your events, reminders, and notes, and everything in Maps, is free forever. Creating, changing, and deleting need Jimo Link Pro: one purchase ($4.99 / ¥38), yours to keep, no subscription.
How do I restore my purchase on a new Mac or after reinstalling?
Sign in to the App Store with the Apple Account you bought with, open Settings › About in Jimo Link, and click Restore Purchases.
Is my data uploaded?
Jimo Link has no server of its own and collects no data. Content goes only to the AI apps you connect, and place search and directions come from Apple Maps. See the Privacy Policy.
